Here and Now.
We live for the future, depending on our past, not realizing we are always living in the present. The
mind is a daydreaming machine; perceptual thoughts are constantly chewing on past knowledge projecting into the future, in the hope of being in the present. The mind through its thoughts can never capture the present. The moment the mind receives, processes and transmits through thoughts on what it perceives, a new now take its place.
The present is existential, for everything happens in the present, but we are unable to perceive the same. Likewise existence is always in the present, it is the only reality that exists. Sun shines in the present, birds sing, the river flows, nature reveals, but by the time we take to
measure any of these, the present becomes past. Time is simply a method to measure the process of nature, invented by us. It is the duration of movement represented by clocks and ‘twenty-four hours’ is nothing but the movement of the earth rotating on its axis.
terms, except for the present moment, everything is an illusion, since there are no phenomena of time, what exists is only a continuous present. The mind deceives now by relating the past and projecting that in the future, claiming that to be the present. To be in the now, on
e needs to exist without thinking, from one moment to the next in observance, alertness, watchfulness, in order to make the mind aware to be conscience of that moment in order to experience the now in totality.
Psychological time on the other hand is the translating of our experience of any movement. This
happens because we can never experience time, but only perceive. In many of ou
r experiences we notice how time slows down when we are depressed or how fast it travels when we are really enjoying something. How time stands still when we are awed by a picturesque scene or looking into the eyes of our beloved.
Spiritualism provides you methods to break the barriers of time and enter into the internal perception of w
itnessing your mind in a neutral manner, transcending thoughts of past and future by living from moment to moment and stop the external perception of mind in meditation by living in awareness through observance and watchfulness, without any chronological notions. The experience of meditation surpasses all other factors because you are more in the ‘Allness’ with everything existentially rather than perceiving parts of reality withi
n any space and time.
Our mind is capable of exhibiting an infinite field of potentiality because we are but only energy. We a
re all waves and particles of the sub atomic field of energy communicating simultaneously with other particles of the universe. Our thoughts operate from centuries old traditions of conditioning from the past forming beliefs and identifications between this and that. If we can learn and act from the methods given by spiritualism, not to separate this
energy we will truly be able to harness this unlimited energy from its potentiality to probability into its actuality.
