The Secret of Life -2

The secret of life is to discover and experience who you truly are beyond your body and mind, which you call yours. We all have our soul, which contains the universal spirit of awareness, apart from the body and mind. A soul is a silent operator that merely observes and exists. Besides living with emotional desires in identifications and attachments, we must balance the material with the spiritual by awakening our souls. Only then will you see through the illusions of fear, lust, greed, and that false identity to embrace the peace of mind you desperately require.

From your heart, life invites you to live authentically, to love deeply, and to be fully present in each moment. And, from your mind, you create that meaning through your actions, words, and care. Science may explain life’s functions, but the “how and why” comes from within. When you spiritually transcend beyond the mind, you’re not trying to control anything but learning to trust the flow of life. You discover life travels through you, not just for you.

The enigma here is how to be consciously alert, attentive, and aware of both the inner spirit and soul in awareness, loving all that exists with simplicity and understanding that you are not separate from the universe. Our ability to understand the universe is a consequence of its existence. Life consists solely of a play of illusions in duality, allowing your mind to choose and enjoy between any two transient opposing factors.

In spiritual traditions, the “secret of life” resonates with a deeper understanding of existence, the universe, and oneself. It often relates to the meaning and purpose of life, the nature of reality, and the interconnectedness of all things. Different spiritual traditions offer various perspectives on how to solve the puzzle of life, including concepts such as enlightenment, self-discovery, inner transformation, and the pursuit of inner peace and harmony. It is a deeply personal and introspective pursuit that varies across spiritual paths and belief systems.

However, submerged in material desires and enveloped in self-identity, we keep questioning the significance of life. It is more to satisfy our mind or ego that we keep wondering and asking, simply because we are never content or fulfilled. It may be to justify or expect something more out of our lives. We, therefore, seek meaning and purpose in return.

We often read and hear that the mind primarily functions in the subconscious or lower consciousness. No one can entirely take over this phenomenal mechanism called the mind. When you pursue life subconsciously, that is, purely through your five senses, you remain insecure, angry, disappointed, and unhappy. Hence, it becomes imperative for us to know the true nature of our inner selves.

We are the only living creatures on this planet who can be aware and conscious of our minds and those of others, exploring the secrets of what life provides. However, all this is subject to our self-discovery in knowing ‘who we are’ beyond the body and mind we refer to as the spirit, the role of which is to direct the soul to check and guide the cognitive subconscious mind.

The answer to the subject of life is to explore the third dimension of your existence. Besides body and mind, there exists a presence of the soul residing dormant within, telling you that body, mind, name, and gender are what you have obtained from others. ‘I am That’ is the eternal presence of the fundamental source of infinite universal energy, immersed in the soul. It is the spiritual awareness, that being-ness, the individual spirit from which you draw all you know about God, life, and the universe. Spiritual awareness is that supreme ability of energy that makes your mind first aware and then conscious of experiencing and realising what life is all about.

Pursuing your life through the cognitive mind is dictated by your likes and dislikes, emotions and intellect, and that all-important ‘me and mine.’ However, when life experiences the world from one moment to the next in the present, it is a majestic flow of aware energy that combines past, present, and future into one. You are alert, aware, attentive, and conscious of every moment. You respond to every stimulus proactively and reflect with heightened awareness.

You are that pure consciousness meant to experience and realise the extraordinary gift of personal uniqueness that the universe provides. It is your unmatched individuality. Make something out of it. Use that not with an emotionally driven, scheming mind, but intuitively balancing material needs with spiritual insight. In this manner, you create, enjoy, and find yourself fulfilling. Your physical existence, limited in space and time, merely reflects your beliefs of a separate identity with a name and gender. Therefore, the secret of life lies not in your ‘me and mine’ but in satiating your unstable material mind with spiritual stability.

The search for this mystery is a deeply personal and philosophical journey, and different individuals and cultures may interpret it in varying ways. The key to all that searching is to be wholly involved in introspecting (self-observing) every thought before acting upon it in the here and now. You possess a unique energy signature; make the most out of it and create your destiny for all time.

NAMASTE
