BEINGNESS – THE ESSENCE OF LIFE

Awareness of one’s presence is the foundation of actual living. The most significant realization of being is that you, as a human being, are unique and aware, where existence and being are synonymous. Awareness, with its inherent intensity, establishes being as a fundamental reality.  All that exists can manifest because we bear witness to it. Our awareness is crucial; the universe emerges from our mindful intelligence, expressing the vast ocean of awareness.

Awareness of one's presence is the foundation of actual living.

The suffix of all three indicates the intensity of beingness, awareness, and consciousness from its  –ness. Beingness is a philosophical concept that encompasses the state or quality of existence. It delves into the fundamental nature of being, encompassing individual and collective reality. This notion has been explored across various philosophical, religious, and existential perspectives, contributing to a rich tapestry of interpretations and understandings.

The universe can only come into existence once we acknowledge it; otherwise, it remains non-existent. Even though it may appear tangible, we cannot deny that our consciousness influences the universe. Our beingness in awareness precedes the world around us. Beingness or awareness is always before consciousness because you need to become aware first to be conscious. Further, beingness understands itself without the need for cognition or reasoning.

More than seven billion people inhabit the world, each with a unique perspective. In actuality, we perceive and view it differently. But inside every one of us lies the identical perception of the world. It is awareness and beingness. Though the universe may seem in many various forms, our ultimate genuine self is the beingness that is aware of the world.

Beingness is that intensity of being, which is ever-present in the form of a witness, with consciousness representing the witness-er or the composite self in body, mind, and soul. It exists independently; awareness or beingness stands alone; there is no entity of it. Everything else falls short in expressing truth since it’s temporary and bound by time.

Anything that genuinely reflects our essential core must be everlasting. Everything temporary—the past, the future, ideas, and reality—disappears upon exploration of permanence. All that exists has ever existed, or will exist, is beingness in the moment of now. Regardless of our level of consciousness, our genuine ultimate self exists here and now without attachments to ideas, desires, or worries, simply accepting things as they are.

For example, in Hindu philosophy, the concept of “Brahman” encapsulates the ultimate reality or cosmic awareness from which all beings arise. This notion emphasizes the interconnectedness of all existence, underlining the expansive nature of beingness beyond individual identity.

In addition to philosophical explorations, beingness holds profound significance in spiritual and metaphysical contexts. Various religious traditions offer unique perspectives on the nature of beingness, often intertwining it with concepts such as soul, consciousness, and transcendence.

No matter how the external world manifests itself, our true self appears in that awareness. While our minds may try to confine us with limitations, a vastness within us goes beyond comprehension. When we embrace our state of understanding through that beingness – life seamlessly unfolds before us in its flow.

In conclusion, beingness encompasses a multifaceted tapestry of philosophical, spiritual, psychological, and existential dimensions. By engaging with diverse perspectives on beingness, individuals can cultivate a deeper understanding of their place in the world and navigate their existential journey with greater insight and wisdom.
