The idea of “intelligence is divine” can be deeply philosophical and subjective, often depending upon one’s beliefs, cultural background, and worldview. Its concept has been explored in various spiritual, intellectual, and scientific contexts throughout history. The world has started to explore what is inside of us and not just focus on the laws of nature on the outside. When you explore your inner and outer worlds, you discover they are like fields of intelligence everywhere, operating without us even noticing it. It is the universal intelligence at work.
The meaning of intelligence is the source of knowing, sensing, learning, or understanding. In the body of a living creature, the source of awareness, consciousness, and knowledge is the inner Self. In the universe, it is that Supreme Self. However, our intelligence, which is also a reflection of universal intelligence, is not at the same level as divine intelligence because a reflection of it is coloured by our attributes, attachments, and associations with what we desire.
However, the universe is the source of intelligence, because of which we humans derive and develop from this dormant potential of infinite intelligence spread out in the Quantum Field. We access this universal intelligence in an aware and conscious way, which can lead our mind toward the divine or the devil—waiting for us like one significant infinite source of wisdom ready to extract and be used by us.
There is a new scientific view, drawing from quantum physics, which concludes that it is not the brain that creates consciousness but consciousness that makes the brain. The Divine is a phenomenon we recognize either without any form which Hindus refer to as nirguna- or manifested in various forms in different religions as human gods – saguna. However, we also refer to God as immanent, transcendental, and omnipresent in the cosmos. The total of all energy and consciousness in its absoluteness is the presence of God.
Intelligence is the ultimate reality underlying all phenomena. It is that supreme ability of energy, which is not aware of itself but has the divine ability to make living creatures aware and conscious to observe and perceive the universe, spreading from formless waves of energy to the majestic stars. Human intelligence is divine because all that is known, felt, experienced, and realized is because we are spiritually intelligent going through human experiences—our abilities to think, reason, and create come from a source beyond our thoughts and intellect. Our intelligence allows us to explore the wonders of nature, develop technology, and build civilizations – achievements that point to a higher power at work. How we utilize and to what degree is a different matter altogether.
Quantum Physics has proven this energy exists both in us and around us. Even more exciting is that this energy is available as we wish. I repeat the supreme ability of energy. This innate intelligence is always available to us, but we do not know how to maximize it. Most of the time, we aren’t even conscious of its existence.
Now, we can see the notion that intelligence is divine from various angles: ‘Who is this divine whom we worship? Is he a manifestation of God in form or that universal intelligence that is omnipresent, from which we access infinite knowledge into our finite mind to discover from the microcosm to the macrocosm? Moreover, we cannot deny that everything we know of this universe is guided by consciousness and supported by consciousness. De facto, the universe exists because our intelligence says so, which is why we can explore and discover whatever we know today. It means the basis of the universe is consciousness, from which we have created the concept of God and the devil. Pure Consciousness, the soul embodies this cosmic intelligence, which we call the spirit in the subject of Spiritualism.
Therefore, what is the foundation of this universe? Intelligence. The creation of the universe is an unfolding of intelligence from an intricate, complex state to a manifested state. The supreme ability of energy we refer to as universal intelligence is what we call God, from which we come and to which we return. It is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. The universe we know today is one unit composed of dark and ordinary matter and energy with parts of matter and consciousness. But the parts only have a temporary appearance. In the ultimate reality or from revelations derived by Quantum Physics, We Are One. The basis of this phenomenon lies in discovering the idea of oneness with the whole. The more we think of ourselves as separate from this whole, the more miserable we become.
A Human being is a package of body, mind, and soul. Then who is the Self? The authentic self is the one behind the mind – the mind is an instrument for the soul to use and not to be used as it is happening today. This intelligence percolates through the soul being the unconscious, or the superconscious part of the mind, where dual thoughts do not prevail. This pure universal intelligence (spirit) embedded in the soul spontaneously triggers any observant and alert mind to become intuitively aware. After that, if the mind is attentive at that moment, it becomes conscious of the interplay of the cognitive mind with nature in duality, choosing between this or that for survival.
Every individual human intelligence is a unique spark of infinite potential intelligence, meant to lead us toward greater truth and wisdom as we continue to grow in knowledge and understanding. Our intellects reveal the fingerprints of a cosmic connection and point us toward a spiritual dimension that gives meaning to our existence. This understanding derives from the prehistoric Vedas, which went back over 5000 years, declaring “Prajnanam Brahma” – Intelligence is Divine.
Exploring the Divine Nature of Intelligence
The concept that “intelligence is divine” carries profound philosophical and subjective implications, often shaped by one’s beliefs, cultural upbringing, and worldview. Throughout history, this idea has been examined through spiritual, intellectual, and scientific lenses, inviting us to explore not only the external laws of nature but also the inner workings of our beings. Upon introspection, we realize that our inner and outer worlds are teeming with intelligence—an omnipresent force guiding our existence.
Intelligence, in its essence, serves as the wellspring of knowing, sensing, learning, and understanding. It manifests as the source of awareness, consciousness, and knowledge within living beings—the inner Self. At the cosmic level, it embodies the Supreme Self. However, while reflecting universal intelligence, our human intelligence bears the imprint of our attributes, desires, and attachments, shaping its expression.
The universe is the wellspring of intelligence, from which humans derive and evolve our finite intellects. This infinite intelligence, latent within the quantum field, remains accessible, waiting to be tapped into—an endless well of wisdom awaiting our conscious engagement.
Emerging scientific perspectives rooted in quantum physics challenge conventional notions by suggesting that consciousness precedes the very creation of the brain. Across cultures and religions, the Divine takes various forms—as an unmanifested essence or tangible human gods. Yet, beneath these diverse expressions lies the recognition of a divine presence pervading the cosmos—the amalgamation of all energy and consciousness.
Intelligence is the foundational reality underlying all phenomena—a divine force animating the cosmos from formless energy waves to celestial bodies. Our human intelligence, thus bestowed, enables us to explore, create, and comprehend the wonders of the natural world—an undeniable testament to a higher intelligence at work.
Quantum physics validates the existence of this divine energy, affirming its presence both within and around us. Yet, often, we remain oblivious to its existence, unaware of its transformative potential.
From this multifaceted perspective, we contemplate the nature of divinity—pondering whether it manifests in tangible forms or emanates as omnipresent universal intelligence. Indeed, our understanding of the universe is intrinsically intertwined with consciousness—shaping our perceptions, explorations, and discoveries.
At the core of this cosmic intelligence lies the soul—an embodiment of pure consciousness, or spirit, serving as the conduit through which universal intelligence flows. It guides the mind from the realm of duality to intuitive awareness.
The universe is an unfolding of intelligence—from its intricate, latent state to its manifested expression. As sentient beings, we are integral to this cosmic dance—individual sparks of infinite potential intelligence journeying toward greater truths and wisdom.
Embedded in ancient wisdom and echoed across millennia, the declaration “Prajnanam Brahma” in Indic scriptures resonates, reminding us that intelligence is divine in its purest form.
