Love is Complete

Love is that necessary emotion required for internal purification. It can dissolve all negative emotions. Throughout history, and even now, people believe love comes from the heart rather than the mind. To function smoothly and in balance, the heart and brain must constantly communicate with each other. We observe our heart rate and pulse fluctuating with every emotion, illustrating the direct connection between these two and our nervous system.

Love has two connotations; one is relative in duality, a relationship between two human beings, signifying expectations, possessiveness, attachments, desires, demands, jealousy, and so on, with its opposite being hatred. The other form of love is in its absolute – pure and serene, an antidote to everything and anything negative that the mind can perceive or conceive of.

Therefore, love in whatever form, besides the fulfilment that it confers, is also the supreme healing power. The power to erase and neutralise all negativity makes this energy paramount and divine. Love, in its non-dual property, demands complete sacrifice. It then remains eternal. On the other hand, when expectations arise out of love, and those desires are not fulfilled, it leads to hurt, contempt, and hate, turning love into its dual characteristic.

You need to accept both dual and non-dual. Practice both, as you can’t do without both, keeping your mind as far as possible, for when pure and pristine love flows, it dissolves all that it touches.

Even when love is abundant all around, it moves very slowly. Its opposite – hate – appeals very fast. For example, gathering a group of people who think and feel about love as a subject may take years. But the same sort of group you will be able to gather in minutes if you start speaking about hatred regarding any person, group, or society.

Love is the presence of truth and selflessness, whereas hate thrives on greed and fear. Our spirit thrives on love; our mind thrives on greed and jealousy. On one extreme, we have absolute love and compassion, and on the other, hurt and hatred separating one from another. What better centring method do you require than this to reduce the gap between dualities on the path to fulfilling your purpose in life?

In our lives, we require both logic and love. Logic is a pure manifestation of the mind, whereas love is an energy that transcends the mind and thoughts. Love is spontaneous and is more of an experience of now. When the mind grasps and comprehends that experience, it is no longer the same. Love becomes thoughts and feelings, creating expectations, conditions, possessiveness, preferences, and jealousy, among other things.

The mind often mistakes lust and possessiveness for love. The mind confuses love after it experiences it; it no longer remains in its totality, separating into mixed feelings and thoughts of this and that. Love can never be taught, described, or narrated by the mind. It is why, in mind, you can never rise in love; you can only fall.

The beauty of love is that it is the only energy that is fulfilled while giving and receiving. Love has no ego and is unconditional. It is not related to the heart, emotions, or mind; it is pure experiential energy. Do not pursue love if it is within you without your knowing; it will flow spontaneously in pure giving, whether for an individual in passion or togetherness in compassion. It can only be experienced in silence, not through words.

Love must be sensitive to all; otherwise, this energy weakens and separates into duality. Love in such a case is bound to get diluted by conditions of expectations, preferences, and jealousy; here, love is calculated by the mind for its satisfaction. Love is that energy of spirit that is spontaneous, happens now, and flows on with no expectations or conditions. The higher its purity, the more we move towards spiritual love in godliness. This is why, in spiritualism, there is no duality.

Spiritual or absolute love is free from attachment or anticipation, unqualified and boundless. It transcends duality, judgement and possession, extending beyond personal needs and desires. Rooted in pure consciousness, it moves naturally and compassionately, embracing all that is. Feelings do not limit it; instead, they arise from the core of life, where love is simply present rather than something given or received.

We try to connect our heart with love through our mind, whereas the heart is a physical organ. When we express words trying to speak from our heart, speaking poetically, these are only thoughts in motion, called emotions. Although related to the heart, emotions originate and settle in the mind, demanding something in return. Therefore, even though emotions directly connect to the heart by disturbing its pulse and heart rate, they are present in your mind rather than the physical organ of the heart.

Always remember, love is neither a property nor a characteristic of the mind or heart. Love is complete; the reason why love is God. It is that presence, being in the now, as an experience that allows us to become aware, always wanting to give rather than take. Love is the Supreme energy.

NAMASTE
